My name is Peter Galbraith and I have been living in Dubai for the past 4 years.

fa_sm_2013_peter_galbraithHaving grown up in Australia, I have always been interested in a wide array of sports at a competitive level. When I first heard about MdS I thought it was the most insane race on earth. That was until Facing Africa offered me the opportunity to compete in MdS in 2013 which I jumped at the chance. If my sponsorship money can make a difference to at least 1 child’s life then it will be worth it.

As a sports enthusiast, I enjoy the social side of exercising with friends. My latest passion is cycling and I love seeking out new routes in the desert in Dubai. The recent MdS training has opened up a whole new array of places to run – in the sand dunes.

Since signing up for MdS I have been reading more and more about NOMA and the impact it has on children’s lives. If I can exceed my goal of 7,500GBP then it can only create further awareness around this awful disease. I am honoured to be a part of the 2013 MdS team for Facing Africa – Noma.
