My reason to run 240km through the burning dessert is the challenge that it offers. Throughout my life I have allways enjoyed undertaking ‘missions’ that seemed undoable at first, but proved the more rewarding at last. In the past this made me me row competetively for 5 years, travel around the world and recently undertake a PhD in physics.

The chance of running the Marathon de Sables for charity makes the experience only better for me. It seems a great opportunity to both give something back and broaden my horizon. My goal is to raise enough funds to cover the reconstructive facial surgery for 5 kids.
