1/5 Noma is an acute and ravaging gangrenous infection affecting the face.

2/5 The victims of Noma are mainly young children in areas where poverty and malnutrition are rife. 90% will perish.

3/5 Facing Africa is a charity concerned with the prevention and cure of Noma.

4/5 We provide funding for medical expeditions to Nigeria and Ethiopia where the disease is common.

5/5 FA sponsored surgeons and nurses donate their time to perform reconstructive surgery on the survivors.

Off the Beaten Track - Registration now open for 2012
Off The Beaten Track is a one-of-a-kind, ultra-marathon designed to create the atmosphere of the distance race run every year in the hot sands of Morocco - the Marathon des Sables. An annual event, now in its third year, Off The Beaten Track consists of teams of six running in relay over a distance of approximately 50 kilometers.

Off the Beaten Track - A One of a Kind Trail Run
Ken Krys attempts to recreate the Marathon Des Sables in the Cayman Islands. The 2nd 'Off The Beaten Track' 50k ultra-marathon is open for registration now. All proceeds go to Facing Africa.
